APB in zinc - help needed

Hello! This is my first posting here and I am looking for some help. What will be opinion on this zinc-made 1943 APB?

The thing I have been confused about is a "C" catch - it looks like thick than usualy we can encounter with this type of badge. Is this ok and has anyone seen APB's with such catch?
