You know I was wondering this too. The piping does look dark but hard to tell in B/W photo's.

Cheers John, can't afford to buy these lovely original items (though I have had an original RZ20 and a drop canister), so I have turned into a bit of a photo nerd I love finding the unusual or non-textbook items on photo's. I will be posting a picture soon of FJ wearing gaiters that are 'buttoned' and not the usual buckle arangment. Odd.............very odd
