No, please read the thread (and links ) carefully. We are saying that W.L. did make and mark tropical items, but the stamps on these trousers are bad imitations of real W.L. stamps. John has said he doesn't want to show a real stamp here, because it would help the fakers. Right, John ?

Tropen, if you read the links carefully you will see an authentic pair of L.W. manufactured shorts illustrated there. The überfallhosen posted do not exhibit the proper details that authentic L.M. überfallhosen do.

The more correct statement would be that aluminum buckles are sometimes found on foreign produced überfallhosen.

Have yet to see aluminum buckles on German produced überfallhosen.

Such trousers (and I am one of those wierd trouser collectors) have been the "holy grail" to me. I don't consider myself an expert on these but they would certainly fool me...

I have posted these before but here is the POW photo of the previous owner of the trousers. The pants still have dirt and dried plant life in them which I think is pretty neat since they most likely came from working in the fields as a POW.
