    Nice trousers and tunic Tropen!

The difference between the two trousers are like night and day to me. For those who want to learn the difference study the known originals and just walk away from the fakes, without trying to understand all the detailed reasons why they are fakes.

        Historic set Tropen! Very nice!

My remark about the aluminum and steel buckles was a general information comment to everyone, and not specifically directed to you.

Any detailed history on the POW, his service, date and place of capture?

          Hi John,
Unfortunately i don't know his name or unit. The antique dealer only said that the family brought his uniform in and that they said he wore it in Africa. I could tell it was untouched when I found the EKII ribbon hiding in the inner pocket that the dealer missed. Thanks.

Fantastic set, Andy ! Rare to find a set with history.

Is the maker of the jacket WL too ?

            Regards,
            Steve

No need for a photo - the number confirms it. The fakes all have this same number stamped there.
I know this is an old thread but real trousers have numbers stamped on pockets but there are major differences and probably shouldn't be openly discussed for fakers to correct.
