OPINION on TROPICAL LONG TROUSERS

most interesting thing is that these pants were made in my home town ( Litzmannstadt is occupation name of Lodz in Poland which during II WW was incorporated to the III Reich ( gau Wartheland ) because had a giant textile industry ).
I as far as I know the most known fake of tropical luft trousers are those marked Holz & Binkowski , I never seen before any Wirtschaftsamt Litzmannstadt copies.

Sorry, I mean't to say the back pocket !
No need for a photo - the number confirms it. The fakes all have this same number stamped there. Try a burn test on some of the threads used to sew bits of the trousers. You might find that Nylon thread has been used. Also, use a UV (black) light to check the trousers. Parts of these fakes glow brightly. The Litzmannstadt stamp is a copy of an original maker's stamp, but the fakers got some of the details wrong.
Just curious - did they come from Holland ?
Sorry again for the bad news. I got caught by one of these fakes many years ago, but luckily I got my money back .
Regards,
Steve

Carlo, Thanks for the very kind PM. Of course I agree totally with Steve, Willi, and others, these überfallhosen are reproductions. There are many small details that betray this fact, and to explain them in detail here would be folly. To do so, would mostly help improve the next generation of fakes of these trousers. Please study the photos in the threads that Steve linked to carefully. Buttons, lining, sewing, etc.
And for the very same reason is why photos of maker's marks that you asked about are not included in my book, this would have helped the fakers more, and in the end made it more difficult for us all in the future.
Best,
JohnEsse Quam Videri
