But at least 3 features shown in the red marked area of "Anthony´s eagles" are 100% different to both of mine.
Those difference are only to be found on repro decals; sorry.
The fakers corrected these mistakes and sadly, there are already near perfect repros out there .Last edited by Gerd W.; 11-18-2008, 02:59 PM.

IMHO there are no news for Anthony´s helmet: Good FJ helmet with bad decals..... seem to be a question of value now

I think in the original the line between the body and the leg is not a thin straight one as in the possible fake decal BUT it should be a thicker line with curving matching the breast/leg. Or in other words the 3 above all have very similar leg patterns and the 4th one is different! But is this a standard giveaway or just a different manufactured decal!?

Good or bad (which I agree with) the wear to both decals is artifical IMO.
And, even though most FJ collectors believe DDs did not exist in dark gray-green, there has to be something wrong with the decals when we do encounter them. Either fake or post war applied originals. The point being is we should all be able to indentify what is wrong. I have even seen fake camo applied over gray-green DDs where it was not absolutely clear the decals were bad. The camo was though.Willi
