...playing it, because this one seems complete original to me and only the finish gave me a little red flag... These forums have two purposes - to satisfy our ego /"See what I have!!!!!" / and the second purpose is educational... So I am going to sing this old song until learn to discover the fakes, until an obvious fake does not start doubts in me if it is original or not... Maybe I am learning a little slow, but really the finish was the only red flag that came to me for this helmet... ell, at least I am learning through looking... Learning through buying fakes was going to be a much worse way of education!!!!

Here is my adivce Theodor, if I may.

You live in Bulgaria, tough to learn about original FJ helmets in that region. Studying the fakes is not way to know the originals. You have to study orignal helmets and focus on the original features. And, the internet is not the key. Easily 95% of the camo FJ helmets offered on dealer's sites and auctions are bad. Either complete repros or messed with orignals. And, $2000 (the price on this helmet at this time) is very cheap for an original FJ camo. If that were original, just telling you how it works, I would have cotacted the seller and made an offer to get it pulled from the auction. Many others would do the same. Buy some books that feature good FJ helmets in color. Study them. Go to shows where you might be able to find someone that has originals or knows about them. But, posting a bad one and us telling you it is a fake is no way to really learn. You have to know what the originals look, feel and smell like.
