Nice awards and photos, Seba!
Some of the pics (... "looking" and "equipment") seem to belong to "Operation Merkur".
Stabarzt Dr. Mallison was Chef of 1./Fallsch. San. Abt. 7. This unit jumped near the prison of Agia. Checking this info, I´ve come across "looking" photo in Jean-Yves´ "Fallschirmjäger in Crete" (page 94), captioned as "Parachute drops near Agia".

Superb grouping Seba! I was lucky enough to view this grouping in person. Looks like you will be able to find out some more information on Dr. Mallison. The one photo showing a DD M38 in snow camo is very unique.

Excellent! Thanks Óscar. Some of these pictures are propaganda pictures (stamped PK but hard to see since they were taken out of an album). I assume he ordered or got copies of the pictures he was in, so I would not surprised to find other copies out there. The others are smaller and "amateur"; you can almost tell which is which just by looking at the photos.

My interest in Fallschirmjäger things has of course increased ten fold since I got this group, and it looks like I need to get myself a copy of that book. May be Jean-Yves will see this thread and comment on it. I'll go scan some more, hopefully the rest, of the pictures now.

The medals are absolutely beautiful!

Its nice to see this man wearing his medals in his uniform, just think 60yrs ago this FJ was wearing those medals in that photo!

This is a wonderful group of document and decorations. I am very jealous

I studied the birth of the Fallschirm-Sanitätsabteilung of the XI.Fliegerkorps and wrote several lines in my first book (Green Devils !) and then brought a lot of pictures about his 2nd Coy in my second book (Fallschirmjäger in Crete - Thank you Oscar for having reading it !).

Concerning the Holland Operation :

At this time you had a LL-Halbkompanie and a springende Kompanie which formed the SK.7 and the Chief was the Oberstabsarzt Dr. Neumann. At the middle of March, the Coy was sent to Stendal and at the end of April, the springende personal was sent to Werl and the LL-Kompanie people was sent to Harsewinkel by Gütersloh.
On the 10 May, the springende Coy was dropped and engaged in the South of Dordrecht; the LL-Kompanie landed on the Waalhaven's airport.

Concerning Stabsarzt Dr. Mallison, he did participate at this operation. On the 14th May 1940, after the fall of Rotterdam, the SK.7, set up an HvPl in a hospital in the south of Rotterdam. The unit was inspected by Göring '(see my first book photos pages 34-35).

For your eyes only, an original picture (not in the book

) depicting Dr. Mallison talking with Milch. He is a very tall guy, so you could not miss it !

July 1940 - Parade in Braunschweig (original in my collection) :

After the Holland campaign, the SK.7 became bigger : an Abteilung with 3 springende Coys and one LL-Kompanie. Dr. Mallison was the Kompanie-Chef of the 1st Coy.

Then Crete.

Then Russia. The 1st Coy was engaged in a bridgehead by Wyborgskaja on the Neva. By December 1941, the rest of the 1st Coy flew back from Witebsk to Schaikowka.

I have not much information about him and not sure he was still at the head of the 1st Coy in Russia.
