Sorry, that´s a reproduction. Often sold as original, but still an older fake. Compared to originals you´ll notice some important differences in the details.

Here a view on one of my badges (ex-collection). Very rare maker marked 2nd style alu.

If your thinking about buying one of these i would suggest getting hold of a copy of red shines the sun and doing some serious searching through the forum before even thinking about putting any cash down.

hi guys,

thanks for replies. any advice would be useful as to what is wrong with badge i posted. has ' beard ', 'c' catch,hinge looks good. my concern would be rivets and that wings do not extend beyond wreath or are there other faults ? yes - i am looking for one of these !

Mark--Sorry my friend, I just sold two Army Para's two weeks ago. They weren't as nice as Gerd's but real.

Hing, pin, catch, wreath details, size, weight, gilding/finish, rivets, army wreath eagle.... these style of repro has not only one fault, it has numerous.

Best advice is to study originals and not such fakes!
