    Nice FJ portrait picture

Here's one that I certainly have never seen before. The picture comes out of an I/FJR2 estate I recently acquired. See if you can spot the "odd thing" in this one.

Sorry Ben, obviously you bought a fake - but I will take it of your hands...

Seriously: Once again a proof there is nothing that hasnt existed back then. Looks like the boards are much to large for his flightblouse, and are very stiff.

You're right Patrick, looks like some sort of dress/parade style boards.

The Wehrmacht mounted honour guards at the Feldhernhalle from all three branches on a rotating basis throughout the year, spelled off with honour guards from various paramilitary branches of the NSDAP

Throughout the war years, there was a constant SS presence, no matter who was doing honour guard duty

I-Fjr2 received a large amount of new recruits from the SA Feldherrhalle at the end of 1944, there are two sources that state the this unit was given the right to wear the Feldherrhalle cuff title, perhaps this guy is one of the replacements although the SA Feldherrhalle had Fj trained troops early in the war that were absorbed into Fjr1, due to his rank and awards he maybe more likely from this unit, Can't wait to see the rest of this group!!!!!
