Gentlemen,

I've seen the picture(s) of the FJ in Tunisia wearing the European camouflage jump smocks. What about Ramcke's Brigade? What type of jump smocks did they wear at El Alamein? Also, I assume that they wore typical Luftwaffe tropical trousers, but I don't know for sure. Any help would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

The Ramcke Brigade brought splinter step in jump smocks with them to Africa. They seldom were photographed wearing these, but members of Rgt. 5 in Tunisia (colder time of year) were often photographed in their splinter smocks. Some green step ins were worn by members of Rgt. 5 and the Ramcke Brigade as well.

Both units did indeed wear the standard tropical five pocket trousers.
