    binocular 12x50 Fallschirmjäger

    Hello

Here my latest garage sale find.
The convolut consits of 200-300 pictures and this rare binocular. The guy was a paratrooper and was memeber of the Grenadier Rgt Hermann Göring and saw service 1944 in italy and 1945 in the final battle in germany.(he was also earlier in action but I have no pictures or so...)

The optic expert will know what it is. It is a rare 12x50 schneider göttingen with the number production number 577. The daughter told me that he brought this optic bakc from world war.

Here are a few information out of a optic collector book:

    Here are few pictures:

                      Hello

I bought all togehter for 70 euros. In my internal accounting I calculated 25 euros for the glass and 45 euros for the pictures.

Here in austria you can buy such things still real cheap, if yu buy from private and tehre is still a lot of material in the attics.

I think the price is more than fair!

                      Best regards Buckeru

                        Hello Buckeru,
I think the 2nd photo of #17 is the area south of Cassino, between Cassino and Mignano Monte Lungo, and the 2nd photo of #20 is the village of Roccasecca, very close to Cassino.
