    Hello Jean-Loup,

Please keep your comments on the topic of the thread, or begin a new thread with the new topic in the appropiate Forum. Discussion of Stalingrad graves does not belong on a thread about paratroopers in Africa, or even in the Fallschirmjäger Forum.

    Thanks,
    John

      Rules, Mr. Hodgin

      Clarification follows:

Jean-Loup was replying to a question of Prosper's.
And, he did reference the thread to which Prosper's
      question obtained.....

What fault there is in that is a mystery to me.

Please do post a 'Moderator Book of Rules'.

      With abject and humble respect,

      Phil

        Sorry, wrong Mr.DeWitt.

        1. Jean-Loup broached the topic of mass graves in Stalingrad and Prosper replied to JL's initial post. Neither have any bearing on the Ramcke Brigade in Africa.

        2. No fault was implied, for anything. I merely asked Jean-Loup to stay on topic or begin a new thread. Threads are about specific topics, we all wander off at times with our posts. I'm guilty of it, and when I do, it has been called to my attention. To do so isn't a "fault," but it is a moderators job to try to keep posts on topic.

        3. I've had a similar conversation with Prosper, asking him to stay focused.

This is Seba's site and all the rules, including the Moderator rules, are his. I don't believe I am at liberty to post them, but I will call this to his attention now.

        Regards,
        John

          Simply Replace

          'Prosper' with 'Bonini,
          repeat previous question posted.
OK, forgive me for being a complete
ass, the rules are quite plain and simple.
If I were able to pay appropriate attention
          that might help,
          will give it a try.
          Appreciate your forbearance.
Do also tender an apology for
being off topic, however the clarification
was worth it, and excused one trusts.

          Regards,

          Phil

Phil, there is indeed a moderator code of conduct but I do not see how that is relevant and at this point I will not post it here. Suffice it to state that we have one.

            What is relevant to members (and what the moderators enforce) is the Members Code of Conduct, and that can be found here;

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/misc...guidelines.htm

Beyond what is written, however, is the interpretation of the laws. You have been here long enough to know what those are, how we enforce what we do, and why.

              Thank you Seba,

              for the clarification.

              Understood completely.

This is your project, and a good
              one it is.

I can find no fault, yet regarding
this particular note my feeling is
              (perhaps irrelevant, perhaps not)
mixed, best summed up as an 'interbang'
              "!?" and a confused smiley

              All the best,
and may this be the greatest
              by far, of your worries.

Yes sorry for speaking about the graves again, topics slip very easily; and in the para section me and Prosper have had some 'severe' discutions the past days. We cleared this up by PM's, and I would like you to be aware of that John. If you hadent had to sensore several of our 'Kreta' messages previously, I am sure you wouldnt have reacted as severaly about my Stalingrad story.
The goal of the story was to talk about an authentic insignia on the front of a vehicle, not grave robbing.
Thank you for your understanding, and thank you Phil for being ready to take my defence.

                JL

No problem Jean-Loup, I understand, but please try to remain on the topic of each thread. Here, I didn't want us to jump from El Alamein to Stalingrad. It's easy to begin a new thread if you would like to discuss another issue. I noted that there is a thread you just commented on that can address issues of Fj graves. As long as this is about Fj history, insignia, soldiers, etc., then this is fine. IMO however, the discussion of graves and their "relocation" should be in Die Kneipe or the Association Section because this impacts more than the Fallschirmjäger.

                  Thanks,
                  John

                    Jean-Loup

Au contraire, merci! Bonne chance avec vos études! Vous deviendrez un bon pathologiste.

And, all the best to you as well, Mr. Hodgin.

                    B Rgds.
