And, as Glenn's example suggests, these variations are most often seen in late war uniforms.

This thread has been a lively and educational discussion. Please stay out of the cave and contribute more.

Would love to learn the Meyer cap manufacturer, 67. And the maker of the smock illustrated on this thread, 207.

Here is a page from a wartime RBNr list. There are some odd numbers listed.

I`am back from my cave! (but it`s fu&%in cold (-20C)here in german outside my bearfur)

At the moment i have no clue about the 2 digit code in the cap, but i stay on...
Willi, do you have any information about the maker with the weird number? Is this the only maker who stamped like this???

              Best regards
              Dirk

                Hi All
Willi you say in this thread that you have the name of the maker with this 250207 in your data, and I was wandering if you would share it with us, so we can nail the rest of names/Rbnrs from Berlin?
and if you would share it I think I have a pretty good Idea which Rbnrs fits Hubert and Schultz. that is if you don´t already have tied the knot yourself.

Jan, I need to update my list. We should then exchange the data we have in order to match things up.
