      The one Para badge doc I bought is DIN A5 and has the number III/43 issued 15th March 1943

                After looking at the link to the research project and compairing the numbers on the data, my number fits in, the closest one is 7xxxx in Feb/41.

                  Hi Dave,

                  Sorry for the late reply but didn't find records until today.....the Wound Badge in Gold citation I had was to the same guy (I think!) Obfw. v. Gutowski......I spoke to the guy I sold it too but he can not remember who took it from him but he does think it went to the States.....this was about 7 years ago (I think?!?!).

                    Here's one of mine.



                    It's from November 1940 and bears the number 9200. If Willi has September 1940-dated examples in the 5000s, this indicates quite a high rate of candidates passing through the parachute training schools late in 1940.
