Note the mark on his leg. I thought that meant KIA. 2 photos of this guy have the same mark. But, this is his album and I can't figure out if he was KIA.

These are great pic's . The first photo looks as though the cap eagle is metalic, or is it just the way the flash has caught it ?
The photo of his buddies makes you realise just how young they were. Straight out of school & into the fire !

Superb photos Willi! Thanks for sharing. I too assume the jägers with the mark were gefallen.

Yes Mike, the eagle on the cap in the first photo is metal. The cap is a Heer M40 to which a Luft. visor hat eagle has been added.
