Fake splinter FJ clip-on cover

Here is what I always thought was a pretty good fake cover. I bought it in Germany for 100DM in the late '80s. I sold it to a reenactor for $75 a few years ago. Now, I heard it went to an unsuspecting collector for $1000. Pisses me off......
