I wonder if the hammer has fallen on this one yet. Anyone know what it went for?

      Hi,

Nice piece. I wish I had the catalog. They had some great Brit medals also.

        Hi,

Just got back from the Bosley auction!
The badge went to a telephone bidder for £4200. (This is without the auctioneers 15 %). So, £4200 plus £630 = £4830. Oh yes, there is also VAT of 17.5% on the £630 (which is £110.25). Grand total of £4940.25. ($9000!).

I managed to get a nice SS M34 Overseas Side Cap for £750 (Plus the other "add on's" as well!).

        Cheers!

        t.

Say what? I didn't bid on it. I wonder if the winner was a forum member though.

Not when you look at it in comparison to $8000 Normandie camos or $3000 single decal shells. The rarity factor is 1000 to 1.

If one of our forum members won this badge hopefully he/she will share some pictures with us at this forum. It would be nice to see better pictures of this beautiful and very rare badge.

                        Eric,

I'm surprised you didn't 'go for it'. Maybe you already have a "SILVER". If I had the bucks.............. famous last words. An incredibly rare bird!

                        Regards,

5 silver examples is enough for me. Too many other irons in the fire right now.
