This now proves that all 3 battalions had companies with these FJ Regiment 6 painted helmets.
I know we had a very long thread on these in the past. Some more recent ones as well. I recall there were unit markings on some of those as well.Willi

Originally posted by Rich Landy View PostGents, I acquired a DD Luft para camo years ago from the vets family. It also came with the camo cover. Originally named to a Hauptfeldwebel - who my research showed was wounded in the battle for Ypenburg airfield in Holland. It also had the name of a JaGER handwritten on the liner. He was killed in Sept 1944.
It appeared to be a 6th para camo. These are the best photos I could find in my files. I have since passed in on to another Forum member who really wanted it.

Apparently and according to Volker Greisser ( Lions of Carentan ) the regiments 1st & 3rd Battalion personnel came from veterans of the Ramcke brigade; the trial battalion of the XI Air Corps; and the 100 th Luftwaffen Jäger Battalion zbV.
The 2nd Batalion was created from the former 4th battalion , Sturmregiment.
