    Krieghoff Lugers and the Fallschirmjäger

    Hello,

Does anyone have any photographic evidence or documents that tie Krieghoff Luger pistols to the Fallschirmjäger?

For members who are not familiar with them, Krieghoff was (and still is) a manufacturer of high-end hunting and sporting shotguns.

Hermann Göring had expensive taste and was familiar with their quality, so he had them produce about 12,000 pistols (total!) for the Luftwaffe between 1935 to 1945. Many luger collectors believe these to be the highest quality lugers ever built. If you've ever studied one, you can really tell a difference. Due to their quality, rarity, and cachet these pistols are highly sought after by collectors - and are very expensive.

It is also believed that most of these went to the Fallschirmjäger.

Krieghoff also got larger contracts due to their exceptional quality and produced machine guns for fighter planes. They are also well known for producing the Fallschirmjäger FG-42.

Does anyone have a picture of a Fallschirmjäger where you can see the toggle or serial number of their Krieghoff luger? Or maybe a Soldbuch entry or other documentation?

    Best regards,
    Jordan
