Russian Fallschirmjager reenactor jumps with real RZ20

Came across and wondered if anyone else has seen this?
A Russian Fallschirmjager reenactor who makes a jump with a orig. RZ 20.
This would never happen in America with all the laws and regulations.
    I really envy this guy.

All that was missing was the JU52, count me in as well.

            Wow...

I have been hearing rumors about this for quite a while, now here is the proof! Great stuff...I think I should get my rig checked out now.

The regulation here in Germany would actually allow the canopy to be used if it passes all the tests and gets a "Gütesiegel", there is no age limitation on the canopies BUT the harness must not be older than 15(?) years.

            cheers
            Uwe

Wow, he has some sand. He was carrying a back up chute as well.

That's cool! I had mine certified by a rigger a few years ago but there was no way the government would allow me to jump it. Now I just have to go to Russia!

I bet we could get a stick together!

I was gonna say that... it takes Balls to jump on a 66yr old shute!... and no back-up either that I could see...

                        Cool video!

actually, he had a reserve....but if the main chute fails...how much time does one really have to remove or cut off the old chute and deploy the reserve?

Better not wasting to much time removing or cuting the failing one and pulling the rip cord ASAP...

In principle you never cut a main on a round canopy when malfunctioning. Looks like his harness was adapted (or newly made perhaps) to some extent to facilitate his reserve. Still as some say, this guy has some cahones.
