Here's one that's kind of interesting. Would like to know what kind of SS unit this is. From my understanding, a Marsch unit is a mixed bag of personnel , in this case, SS soldiers . Would like to know what you guys think of this tag.

Does anybody have one to compare with? I've read that these are pretty rare. If this is a fake it's a very good fake!! In the picture it looks like I can see stamping coming through the other side? I don't own it but I'm interested in it. It does look like it was ground dug.Comment

Well aged but I don't think it has original stamps. Also the two holes appear to have fakes wear. The wear marks have edges like from a file not smooth looking from normal use.Comment

Thank you for your keen observation! Yes I can see what you mean about the hole wear not being smooth like original dog tags. On another forum members were discussing one just like this, minus all the wear that's on this one, and I guess there is a SS dog tag reference book that shows one like this. It shows an original but the stamping is all machine stamped except the roll numbers. I've never seen a picture of an original. The wear on this one made me think maybe it's good...It would be nice to see an original one like this...I read that this kind of dog tag is super rare!!Comment
