    How you think, awards EK2 and EK1 are forged?

    Sirs,
    How you think, awards EK2 and EK1 are forged?
    I think that rewarding with date 29.4.45, originally was for EK2,
    presently corrected on EK1. From under inscription EK2, other record
    made earlier is visible. In an inscription "EK1", figure I looks same "fresh",
    as well as an inscription "EK2 Kl.Kdr.62.J.D.".
    The mistake in number of a division is still admitted
    (instead of "362", it is written "62").
    What do you think of it?

    I would say the EKII is definately a fake entry - looks like it has been written over another entry that you may just about be able to make out.

    Consequently, I would also believe the EKI entry to be a fake, as it looks like someone has latered it from 'II' to 'I'. On the other hand, that might just be the photo.

      Hello Dp,

      You are correct. The entries are actually period except that someone erased whatever the second award was and put in the EKII entry. Possibly a wound badge entry, but who knows. This was done to follow the logical entry of the third award which was orignially for the EKII and then the "II" inked over with a fat "I" to make it an EKI. The idiots who are destroying these passbooks never cease to amaze.

          Hello Ostbat,

          You are wellcome. You will also find portions of the original award entry on the same lines as the faked EKII entry.
