Hoping for help on some WP entries

    Hello !

I hope for help in reading some entries in this Werfer WP.
(Also perhaps for the meaning of some entries.)

I am unsure about a lot of his personal details on p. 3 :
Name : Ignatz (or Ignaz ?) Machuletz ?!
    Birthday : 3. ???? 1902
Place of birth and Kreis : ?

    Staatsangehörigkeit : I read : Dt. Reich a.W. (D.V.L. 2)
=> What does it mean, especially the a.W. ?!

    Religion : r.[oem.] kath. ?!
    stand : verheiratet

    Profession : Tischler ?!

    father : Johann
    Profession : ?

    Mother : no idea ...

    ---------
Then there is written something all across p. 3, from which I can only read the date :
    7. XI. 45
I have never seen such a writing. Any idea what is written, what it means ?!

I made extra scans so perhaps it is more readable.

    ---------

There are only a few more entries with problems :

    p. 4 :
    Schulbild. : ???
    foreign languages : ???

    p. 5 :
    field 14 : Entscheid /Tauglichkeitsgrad is what ?
(I think he was sent to Ldw. I)

    p. 26/27 : no idea what it says !

Any help would be appreciated !

    Best regards,

    Archi

            Hello Lionel !

Many thanks. That already helps a lot !

            regarding the language :
            i. Wort would make sense (translates to : in speech [only]).
(The other variant would be : in Wort und Schrift (+writing) ).

            Could it be : oberschl.[esisches] Polnisch ?!
Is there such a dialect ?

Then there would be only left :
            - his birthplace
            - profession of the father
            - p. 26 entry ??
            - what is written across p. 3

            And maybe :
            Staatsangehörigkeit : I read : Dt. Reich a.W. (D.V.L. 2)
=> What does it mean, especially the a.W. ?!
Many thanks again and best regards,

            Archi

              Oberschlesisch-Polnisch i.W. (in Wort)

Geburtsort: Zwiklitz = Ćwiklice (5km east of Pless)

              profession of father: Kutscher

              mother's name: Annie Dudek

page 26: Hat im polnischen Heer 4 Wochen gedient - infantristische Eignung

What is written across page 3: - I can only read the date but I believe the words are in Polish.

              .

D.V.L. 2 is the legislation under which he could choose the German nationality - see here: http://universaar.uni-saarland.de/jo...rticle/471/510

                  Hello naxos !

                  Excellent !
Many thanks to you as well, that clarifies almost all open questions !
Now I was able to find it : Cwiklice is only ~25km S of Katowice.

I think now, that I made a misread, regarding the Staatsangehörigkeit :
It is possibly: Dt. Reich, D.V.L. 3
Then the a.W. is likely a shortcut for : "auf Widerruf" (not permanent, could be rescinded)

Perhaps some of the members from Poland/ or capable reading Polish language
could help on the writing across p. 3 ?!

                  Thanks again and best regards,

                  Archi
