    Wound Entry

    Hey,

Could anyone help me with the translation of this wound entry as I cant make it out at all, bar the first which which I believe is 'bullet graze'. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like your man had a bad day, I think he was wounded in the left upperarm. foot and right lowerarm.

Can you show us the battle and award pages from this Wehrpass?

      Hey Angel,

Thanks for the help. I noticed that he was wounded in the left just after posting this, but thanks very much for the info

As to your request here are the images. He fought in Southern Russia and was wounded in the Crimea whilst attacking Sewastopol at the end of 1941.

He received the Silver Wound Badge so the Wound was severe enough to need an amputation or he was declared not fit for militry service after it.

            In which units he served?

              Hey Angel,

You are right. He was classified as av, or fit for labour service, after receiving this wound and was then discharged on 03.07.1942.
