          Aufklarar

          Angel,

Off the top of my head there is one book on Aufklarer that is still available...I believe, it is titled "Aufklarer" Luftwaffe Reconnaissance Aircraft & Units, by Hikoki Publications. Unfortuantely this book does not concentrate on unit losses or specifically personalities within units, however it should give you a fairly good understanding of Aufklarer ops., unit markings, aircraft etc....

As far as RK are concerned I'm sure you have the standard Fellgiebel book and for now that is about it. Considering no one to date has fully documented the Kampflieger I suspect the Recon boys are quite low on the totem pole for future books. A pity as I find them very fascinating. I know a few other books exist but the names escape me at the moment.

Hi Angel , very nice and interesting group you have there.!!!

Some aircrafttypes your pilot's units flew with:

            N.A.Gruppe 21.- He 45, He 46, Hs 126, Fw 189.
            N.A.Gruppe 23.- He 45, He 46, Hs 126.
            N.A.Gruppe 12.- Hs 126, Fw 189, Bf 109, Ju 88.
            N.A.Gruppe 6.- Bf 110.
            JG.110. - Ar 96, Bf 108, Bf 109, Fw 190, Go 145, Mc 202, Si 204.

With some of the above mentioned planes it was a very risky job to fly over enemy territory, playing cat and mouse with enemy aircraft in the sky.

            yours
