Soldbuch Panzer Aufklärungs Abteilung 6 Mouse grey Wrapper

One of the rarest wrapper to find and he s wearing it in the photo which I absolutely love!(I attached a photo of an example but without shoulder boards)

Unteroffizier Rudolf Meister of Panzer Aufklärungs Abteilung 6 (6.Panzer Division) received this Soldbuch after the fights in Vlnius in July 1944 while retreating to Kaunas.

He was wounded in Kaunas Lithuania in early August 1944 by 31b (bomb/grenade splinters).

He will remain inHospital in Celle till mid september 1944. then sent to replacement units until he
Joined Panzer Aufklärungs Abteilung 16 around the end of February 1945 and will get wounded on early April 1945 by 31a (bullet wound) near Kielce in southern Poland.
He is Sent to Berchtesgaden hospital till end of war.
to surrender maybe to US 101st airborne Division if i m not mistaken(if he got captured at all)

    During the war He earned:

    Sudeten medal
    Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze on 29.9.1941
Wound Badge in Black on 6.5.1942
    EK2 on 1.6.1942
    Ostmedaille on 25.7.1942
    Kraftfahrbewährungsabzeichen in Silber 8.10.1943
    Kraftfahrbewährungsabzeichen in Gold on 23.12.1943
Wound Badge in Siver on 14.4.1945

                Hello Daniele !

Very nice Soldbuch, with great photo and interesting units. Thanks for showing !

It is a Zweitschrift, but :
Due to his low number EKM, I would think that it is very likely that he served with
Kradschützen-Btl. 6 already from the start of the war.
Then he would be with 1. leichte Division in Poland and from 1940 always with 6. Pz.Div.,
before he would be finally transferred to 16. Pz.Div. in 1945.

                Best regards,

                Archi
