Dutch SS Wehrpass - SS Lazarett / Gen-KDO II SS-PZ Korps

    Hello all,

With the help from Robert McDivitt, found this Wehrpass from an Dutch Sturmbahnführer who was an Surgeon.
Would like some more info about the Lazarett involved, also why would an Surgeon ended up in the General Kommando 2 Germanische SS PZ korps?

    Best Regards,
    Ron

    Hello !

I can't help you with the hospitals.
His position with Gen.Kdo II. Germ.Pz.Korps was very likely the Korpsarzt :

If you scroll down to Abteilung IVb, you can see that a Korpsarzt would be of Stellengruppe R or B (in red),
that is the rank corresponding to a regimental or battalion Kommandeur.
The Adjutant (with St.Gruppe K = Kompaniechef), would have the rank Hauptsturmführer (or lower).

    Best regards,

    Archi

      Hi,

hmmm i think that it is more a "III" than a "II", many foreign volunteers were enlisted in the III (germanisches) SS-Panzerkorps.
      No "II (germanisches SS-Panzerkorps" exist.

      See You

        Hello Vince !

        You are absoultely correct .
        I should have noticed that.
Only the III. SS-Pz.K. had the "germanisch" title :

              Hi,

Thanks. I already thought it was Nieuwenhuizen. As a matter of fact he was attached to SS-San.Abt54 with the III.SS(germ.)Pz.Korps.

What's by the way the date of his KVK?

              Best wishes Bram
