    LW Stabartz wehrpass

    Hi all,
    here is Dr Steffen Wehrpass, Dr Steffen was born in 1906 and start in the Luftwaffe-Flak Rgt 1 in 1937...

    When the war start, Dr Steffen was there, not yet as a Stabartz...

      he became stabartz in 1942...

            he receive the wound badge in Black in march 43 so, he was wound...with the wehrpass, there was some paper, let's see one...

                Dr Steffen leave Stalingrad on january 1943 ...one of the last airlift...

                  Thanks for sharing this remarkable grouping! A nicely decorated medical officer- EK I, Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, Ostmedaille, Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe, usw.!

                    Could you enlarge the awards? I see he also received a Frontflug-Spange (very interesting for a Stabsarzt) in Bronze but I can't tell what type.

                    Guessing it's the Frontflug-Spange für Aufklärer (Reconnaissance), as one of the documents you show lists his flight ops with Nah-Aufklärungs-Staffel 1(H)(short-range reconnaissance squadron).

                      I can't read what scan #8 says either-- "Doctors' scribbles" are the same in every style of handwriting!

                      "Trp. Flieger" ...Transport Flyer in bronze... and Ground Combat last... interesting!
