This Tag has me stumped

This tag just came in a CIC vet group. I just can't figure it out.

Any help with the unit would be greatly appreciated.

stamp went through so was not done properly. also the stamping itself looks really cheap. As a dog tag collector I would not go for it.

Agree, it's an original tag

Roanne is a city in France, the Wehrmacht had a reserve Pionier battalion stationed there.

I'm sure there were other installations of the Wehrmacht in Roanne and your tag was issued by one of them.


T.P could stand for Transport-Park or Truppenplatz etc.

There's nothing in the group that would really tell me where or when he picked the tag up.

I have he 214 and amazingly the Arrest Report from when he arrested Generalleutnant Gerlach-Hans Hemmerich.

stamping went through as it was not stamped using proper device..
