I found a similar dated postmortem in a Wehrpass sent to the family.

The receipt is issued by the Deutsche Post (Mail Service) in Riga. The sender which is the
SS-Standortverwaltung Riga has sent 210 Reichs Mark to the family of a soldier, date 6.4.44.
On the back is written the reason for Sendung "...Angehörigenunterhalt..." - maintenance
payment - for the family of the soldier.

I checked: mine it is different!
mine was sent in October 1944 from his regiment (303 Turk Reg.) probably as a balance of the soldier's pay which fell in June 1944Comment

Exaclty. So the soldier knew that the money was actually sent to his family.

Indeed, your money (81 Reichsmak) was transferred by Feldpost. I think directly from the
unit to the family of the soldier who was KIA. But the system how to transfer the money was
the same.

The owner of the receipt must have been related with the reciept address - and also with the sender of the money. But I don't know the different units which have been managed by the SS-Standortverwaltung Riga.
