    Battle of the bulge EKM ground dug find

    Hi all,

    This EKM is found last weekend in the Losheim area.
    Pretty good condition.Soldier was part of a infantry regiment.Probaly ersatz as this unit was as i believe destroyed in the Heeresgruppe mitte 1944 in russia.

    Any info will be helpful.

    nice finding - might it could be that it belonged to someone,who was a belgian drafties and disapeared between Sept 1944 and December 1944 from Losheim to Merlscheid -I found now 24 EK's in this area and all belonged to belgian conscripted men

      How were you able to find out who the tags had belonged to?
      As for the tag in this thread, with such a low number, perhaps it belonged to an old school NCO.

        I think the owner was likely from the 296. Infanterie-Division as they crossed the border in 1940 in the Losheim area.

        Nice find and in good condition too.
