I see he was trained (erlernter) as a fitter, locksmith, metalworker (Schlosser); I can't read what his Beruf (profession) is.

Very interesting book, and great research as always!

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

Interesting to see that he was first in Bodenpersonal before to be transfered to army. When he was in Lw, he was in north of France (see p. 32 : Einsatz in Nordfrankreich) : it explains the stamp of Luftgaupostamt Brussel who controled all Lw units of northern France and Belgium (between the Seine and the Rhine).

        Thanks for info!

despite this soldier is not arrived in Rimini, this wehrpass has always survived in my collection because it is cnnected, for the a place and for the period, to this wehrpass of the 92 ID, which is one of my first (in 2009) that I posted here but the pictures are disappeared ( in all these years I've learned to upload photos from the forum server !!!)

Alois Ettl Aaready soldier in the Austrian Bundeswehr before the annexation (I enclose this really interesting discussion about the uniform photo in his wehrpass)

                  http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...light=laiatico

Alois fell a few days early, always in mid July 1944, Always just below Villa Saletta, and always in another special place, even unique, always of Tuscany in the province of Pisa... in Laiatico

the peculiarity of the Erkennungsmarke with the Austrian 'Bundesheer' numbering where the soldier came from and the NCO photo
applied after its promotion in 1941 as detailed in the discussion above enclosed

His long military service (8 years)
IR 13 of the Bundesheeres in Wien-Strebersdorf (with the 4th Austrian Infanterie Division) which after the Anschluss forms the IR 134 of the new 44 ID.
He is injured in the French campaign. After convalescence fights in russia with 262 ID, he is again injured near Orel, then he comes to Italy in February 1944 in the new 92 ID, in the Gren. Reg. 1059....

I tried to do a search about the 134 IR in France and he should have been injured (June 5, 1940) around Amiens .... the 134 IR inspected by Hitler
