    Hello Gerd,

Thanks for providing the scans. Nice Soldbuch for a flea market find. I particularly liked the photo. Could you please tell me what units he served with? What condition is the Soldbuch in? Are there any pages missing? Answers to these questions will help with value. Imo, you may get different valuations, but from just the scans provided a fair value if it is complete would be around Eur 200 to 220.

    Regards

      Hello Edward,

thanks a million for your evaluation. I guess, i was wrong, when i assumed, he is in a medical unit, he was probably a normal Infatry soldier.

      His units were:

      4. Komp I.R 306
      1. Fahrkollone 8/211
      Landesschütz. Komp. 2/477

The condition is bad to be honest, but i think, thats nothing unusual with paybooks and Wehrpasses. I assume, its complete, but nearly all sides are single and the Soldbuch is in a paper protection cover (period).

So if you say, 200-220 Euro, is that a dealer-price? Is it fair to assume, 175 Euro is a good price under collectors then?

      Thanks a lot again

      best regards,
      Gerd

        Hello Gerd,

Thank you for the reply and information. Yes, infantry. Was wounded and then assigned to support duties. Based on your further description of the Soldbuch I would consider a fair value from either a dealer or collector to be between roughly Eur 180 to Eur 220. In this case the awards that the recepient received also have given the Soldbuch a value higher than would normally be seen for passes in that condition. I am not a dealer, but have followed the passbook market for almost 25 years now and, Imho like many other areas of TR collectables condition is one factor when gauging valuation. Had the condition of the Soldbuch been better a higher estimate would have been correct.

        Regards

                Hello Gerd,

Thanks for providing the additional scans. He also served with Landschutzen replacement unit I/6 and an Army discharge office out of the Munchen military district.
