Would love some help with this small group, appears to have stated his military service in 1942 ,he was only 20 at the end of the war , can't find his units? the only one i recognise is Jg1.
He joined Jg1 15/11/44 and appears to have finished 30/4/45 was Jg1 disbanded about this time? 7/Jg1 was it appears formed of instructors and trainees fighter pilots, is it possible that he was training on the He162? his flugbuch shows him as doing 90 flights as a co pilot in a variety of aircraft, and is signed off 29/8/44
I know bomber crews at this time were being retrained and the He162 was to use inexperienced pilots. It's a pity I only have the cover of his Soldbuch.
