    FJ Rgt. 3 Award document help neee

    Hello all,

    I bought this framed document but I have some questions;

    - the siganture looks like Wadehn but he was in command of the 3.FJ division and not the FJ Rgt.3
    - no stamp, but that has the last worries for me
    - the rank is Obergefreiten instead of Oberjager.

    It's framed a long time ago and couldn't be openend without damaging it.
    The paper on the backside is war time or pre wartime and glueded

    Does someone recognize the autograph?

      Hi. Poor fake. Co.1.FJD was Glt Richard Heidrich at this time, his Signature is wenn known, he also often used a "stamp Signature". The signature there is a typical and childish Attempt, for sure not time made. By the Way, no need for a divisional commander to sign for an Erkpf.Abz. !! Of course it may happen, but rarely seen. The lack of a Stamp is not always a problem at Co.or Btl-range, but hard to imagine at a divisional level !! If the Stamps would have been lost, you would at least have on the left side of the doc another written Mention such as " In Ermangelung eines Dienstsiegels" to justify the lack of the Stamp... Well dear Floris, sad to ruin your hope, but the glass of the Frame has more Value than the Paper it contains. Kind regards. L.

        I'm with Lionel. This is a fake.

          I can only agree with Lionel & Brian. I have Walter Wadehn's signature on an EK II citation from a citation grouping and the one above looks nothing like it.

            Me too and it's indeed very different of this one.

                It was because of the frame i decided to buy it.

                  Honestly, it could've been made last week. That's what fakers do - make things look old to fool people. I'd be willing to bet it was made within a month or two of when you purchased it.
