There's not a lot on this unit that I can find.....

                      Sicherungs-Bataillon 766

Formed 1943 with 2 Companies from Wach-Bataillon Afrika; Destroyed May 1943 in Tunisia.

Replacement unit: 12 Mainz, WK XII

Googling showed up a bit but not much.............

The FP Nr. is 43250 B which corresponds with 1. Kompanie, Wach-Bataillon Afrika which corresponds with the rest of the Soldbuch......

I didn't see a problem with the stamp....but as you know fakes are common and getting better....with that said some people have made a few mistakes on here recently.....no names but I thought they would have known better.

To my knowledge, it was the only unit in Afrika that wore embroidered straps.
