Looking at this Soldbuch his San. ranks did not start until he had left the Flak units...Sanitäts was only used after he had completed a medical course...he could have been a Company medic before hand or decided simply to change trades.Originally posted by douglynn
Your Ufw. from a Krankenwagen unit could have had medical knowledge and be used a stretcher bearer or he could simply have been an ambulance driver.
In both cases their civilian occupations might give a clue if they were medical or not!
