    Soldbuch italian "Panzerspähwagen"

    The Germans captured about 200 Italian Armored cars Fiat-Ansaldo AB 41 that reused immediately (and they ordered the productions of other 23 news AB41 in the end of 1943)

    about half of these were used in Yugoslavia against Tito's partisans from Police ans SS units (above in Istria) or the Wehrmacht (below a AB41 of the 114 JD in Dalmazia)

      While in Italy a rate the AB41 was assigned (subject to availability)to the Reconnaissance Units of the various divisions (above a AB41 of the 1 Falls. Div near Cassino, !below most likely a Armoured car of the 98 ID to the south of Rimini in August 1944)

            the variations and the nice stamp of the armoured cars of the Heres-Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 400, that derive from Aufklärungs-Abteilung 400, which had been formed in Viterbo in January 1944 as Reconnaissance Unit of the Panzertruppen directly employed from Heresgruppe C. It was equipped with about twenty AB41. in May 17th it fights south of the Monti Aurunici (west of Montecassino) with the 94 ID and for the heavy losses incurred must be withdrawn to be reorganized....

                His training in "Aufklärungs" Units, the Pz-Sp(äh) Komp, of the Panzer-Aufklärungs-Ersatz-Abteilung 7, then he arrives in Italy (late summer of 1944) to the Pz-Späh Komp. of the Panzer-Ausbildungs-Abteilung-Sud

                        and Rudolf arrives in Italy late summer 1944 and remain to
                        Panzer-Abteilung Ausbildungs-Süd until the end of autumn 1944.
                        The Panzer-Abteilung Ausbildungs-Süd, was in charge the training of the Germans soldiers to the use of the Italian armored vehicles.
                        It had moved to Lonico from Verona (Montorio Veronese) in April 1944 (and will remain in Lonigo there until November 1944) ....

                              then Rudolf is finnaly assigned (at the beginning of fecember 1944) to the Armoured Cars of the reconstituted Heres-Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 400, with the new AB43 (AB 41 modified in the turret, motors, an other mechanical pars) ....
