The entry looks very dubious to me - especially as the there is no authorising stamp! However, the writing also looks 'wrong' and not period. If I recall, fakers regularly used stamped award entries?

I have agree with David I'm afraid Doug. The use of stamps is known in SBs ad WPs but is very unusual. I have only a a few out of thousands of entries in my WPs. They are nearly all Wound Badge entries with I think one Ostmedaille. I'll try and find some.

The stamps are usually of a small font that fit nicely into the SB\WP. They are not of an oversized variety like this one. Most fake stamps are even worse than this one...most done using individual letter stamps.

Also as David says the writing in this SB is very dubious (the signature and date are in the same hand and pen) and there is no authorisation.

It's a bloody small barn...perhaps he ended up with something like the stonehenge set in Spinal Tap.
