Can anyone provide me with some vague information on these units, particularly IR 674 and everything after 27.1.1942.

Since 1942, the soldier was in different units (Landesschützen-Bataillone), which served in POW-Camps. Stalag is the abbreviation for Stammlager (POW-Camp). Infantry-Regiment 674 was formed in 1940 (9th wave, formed from border-secure forces). The Regiment belonged to the 395. Infantry-Division, but was dissolved in August 1940. From the Regiment 674, 3 Heimat-Schutz-Bataillone were formed (home secure forces), which served in POW-Camps.
