      Hello Simon,

Nice Soldbuch. Have not seen the doc in scan 14 before with a Soldbuch. Appears to be Polish. It also has an interesting stamping in the lower right corner.

        Hi Edward & Doug
My thought process was east european, only really from the script. The annoying thing is, its blank and the other the stamp is only partial.......

I suppose we could guess to our hearts content, the other thing I could do I suppose is post it on the communist forum see if any chaps there know what it is.
        Regards

          Hey Simon,

Nice Soldbuch you have there - not often you see one to someone who was stationed on the Channel Islands and in Normandy!

            hi simon,
without speaking the language, scan #14 is a polish (renaturalization?) form.

              Hi Dave,

I have been after one for a very long time, although he didn't have any awards or anything special recorded within his soldbuch, to have one from British soil occupation, to me is great.

Wener, I put the card on the communist block forum and that seems to be the thought. However, as he didn't come from Poland, that may be one of those unanswered questions as to why a German soldier after the war wanted to go to Poland???

              Thanks for your input

                Hello Simon,

I am leaning towards the doc being post-war issued. There were alot of family relatives of servicemen stuck in areas turned over to Poland at the end of the war. Also, this doc may have just been just added with the Soldbuch by someone when the veterans effects came on the market.

                Regards
