Hi Everyone,
This is my first posting of one of my items for a while, so as normal any comments etc always appreciated.
This soldbuch was issued to Gefreiter Georg Ruehling on the 3rd of February 1942. Ruehling served with Infantry Rgt 584 {later Grenadier Rgt 584}, part of the 319th Infantry Division, which occupied the Channel Island during WWII. Sometime before the Normandy Invasion, he transfered from this post and was examined by the examination centre of the Generalkommando of the LXXXIV Army Korps on the 20th July 1944. This Armeekorps operated in defense of the Normandy Coast. Although he didn't get any awards, where is was to me is better than if he had an EKI.
