I know there are threads somewhere discussing the topic mentioned in the title but couldn't find them.
I remember threads where Soldbuch award entries had been judged bad because of the style the date was written.
It was claimed that a wartime written date never had a "0" in the month (e.g. 12.09.1942 = incorrect, 12.9.1942 = correct).
A couple of days ago a new Soldbuch found its way to my collection and the soldiers birth date is clearly written with the "0" in the month.
I just wanted to show that there are examples out there.
