Once recovered, he received the bronze Infantry Assault Badge and after some months in the “Nord” replacement battalion, was transferred to the SS-Führungs-hauptamt! His final assignment was with the Waffen-SS Staff-Company at the SS Race-and Settlement-Headoffice.
