    ID tag - need help.

    Hello,
    Can you help me for this id tag? I found it in Slovenia.

    For the first part of the abbreviation I found this:

    "DM" - Freikorps "Danmark" (SS-Regiment 24).

      Thank you for your replay.
      ID is quite different from the other comon IDs. It is a little smaller and hole for the string are quite far apart.
      I would be very surprised if it really belong to a unit of Denmark. I founded this ID on the way of withdrawal of the Germans, Ustasha, Kozak .. from the Balkans in the direction to Austria.

        I looked data for 24 SS regiment and I am really suprised that this regiment had faught in Croatia from 1943. So it is logical that there are things from this unit on rute to Austria.

        DM - Freikorps „Danmark" (SS-Regiment 24)
        Is it posible and make sense that EST means Erprobungsstaffel.

          I have a whole one like this ( no 452) also from Slovenia.
          It's KM tag size. I doubt if it's freikorps Danemark tag.
          Actually I have no idea what sort of an unit it may come from.

            Guy wit a lot of knowledge just gave me an answer to this ID tag.
            DM-EST is Dolmetscher Estnisch - Interpreting Estonian.

              Makes no sense. It would also make a good question why would they need so many estonian translators in Slovenia.
