    Translation Help Needed..

    I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this,but it is Soldbuch related.
    I have tried translating on a translation engine but the result makes no sense.
    So i wondered if any German speaking members could enlighten me?

      Not sure how I proceed now,as I requested information online,do I need to reply in writing?
      Has anyone searched for information on a soldier before and had this happen?

        I have never tried getting any information from them. As far as I know, there used to a policy of providing information to next of kin only, although that may no longer be the case.

        Sorry I can't help you any further, but I would be interested to hear how you get on.

          Thanks for that,I didn't see any mention of next of kin only but I may have missed it!
          Translation from my book is difficult!As even when you get all the words changed they make no sentance!

            Hello Lynton.

            As Frosch 's translation indicated, a response would be in order for any further handling.
            I am not familiar with the procedures of Wast ( to which you apparently directed an inquiry about a certain individual ) but why not formulate a direct response and see what the result will be.
