            This is the one Lee.

He was born 29.3.1928 in Breslau. So at the time this Soldbuch was issued it was 3 days before his 17th birthday. However for some reason someone has changed the date from 26.3.1945 to 26.10.1944. The unit issuing the Soldbuch is Fallsch.Jg. Ausb.u.Ers.Div. which corresponds with his unit on page 3 and his dog tag.

His dog tag no. belonged to: 8 Kp./Fallsch.-Jäger-Ers.u.Ausb.Rgt. 3.

Although the photo is not overstamped it is signed by him and clearly taken from another document as it has been stamped by a Breslau authority.

Fallsch.-Jäger-Ers.u.Ausb.Rgt. 3 was actually used to create Fallsch.Jg.Rgt. 59 of 20 Fallsch.Jg.Div. but for some reason he went to Fallsch.Jg.Rgt. 58 of the same Division.

However, he served for a short time with 8 Kp./II Btl./Fallsch.Jg.Rgt.163, a short lived unit which not much info can be found on....looks like it could have been an intermediary designation as prior to this he was also with 8 Kp./II Btl. of his previous unit.

And of course the entry of swearing allegiance to Großadmiral Dönitz.

I have another one to Fallsch.Jg.Rgt.161 who swore allegiance to Großadmiral Dönitz also.

              /Ian

How about an OT Dienstbuch to a then 16 year old girl sent to North Norway in July '44 with the construction firm Hochtief which still exists today. She was sent to the area of Fuask in Nordland county where the Germans were extending the railway Northwards at the cost of many Russian and Yugoslav POW lives and if it wasn't for this construction project Norway today wouldn't have a railway that far North.

                    Hello,

Here is a sad example of the war end.

Volkssturm in 16 years, SS Pz. Grenadier in 17 years and died on May 14th, 1945.

He rests in the cemetery of St-Veit/Glan in Austria.
