    ID disc - K.d.O. Litauen

    Hello,

10 years ago I was found German WWII dog tag with inscription: "K.d.O. Litauen",
Till this time i can’t find any information about this military formation.
Maybe someone from this forum could help me identify this dog tag.

This dog tag was found in Gdansk (Danzig).

    thanks in advance

Can't say I'm entirely sure about the unit, but I can look around.

The tag itself says: Kommando der Litauen (Command of Lithuania), his personal number was 214.

"K.d.O" stands for "Kommandeur der Ordnungspolizei". This would be the Orpo command in Lithuania, subordinate to the B.d.O. (Befehlshaber der Ordnungspolizei) Ostland which was headquartered in Riga, Latvia (first BdO Ostland was SS-Gruf.u.Gen.Lt.d.Pol. Bruno Jedicke, 1941 - 1944. He was succeeded by SS-Brigf.u.Gen.Maj.d.Pol. Otto Giesecke who was the final holder of the post). I recommend a visit to the "SS & Polizei" forum that I host at forum.axishistory.com to find further and more detailed information on KdO Litauen.

      Best wishes,

My mistake, Kdo would have been the stamping had I been correct.

        I apologize.
