        At the beginning of the war passes to the Luftwaffe until 1943 and is in Sturzkampfgeschwader 77 (Stuka) as a ground staff (Poland, France and then the Soviet Union.)

        And something happens at the end of May 1943 (his work as a "Fourier"?): He is transferred to a first battalion of discipline Luftwaffen-Feld-Bataillon zbV 3 (zur besonderen Verwerndung) and fights around Ilmensee lake, south of Leningrad. He is wounded in late July 1943, and he Leaves, rehabilitated, the disciplinary units in December 1943 and he enters in the Flieger-Ersatz-Bataillon 1 - Poznan (a small mistake on the date Flg 3-Ers-Batl 17-12 - 1944 instead of 07.12.1943).

        He puts himself back into real trouble, and in March 1944 he ends up back in another disciplinary battalion of teh Luftwaffe, the Luftwaffen-Jäger-Bataillon zbV 7 and is sent to Italy, directly on the front of Anzio-Nettuno....
